Meet your Olympic National Park Elopement Photographer

Hi! I’m Sierra! I’m an elopement and adventure wedding photographer based out of my self converted camper van! I help down to earth couples plan and photograph epic elopements all throughout Washington, Oregon, and Utah. Olympic National Park is one of the most popular places that I work —and for good reason! There’s so many incredible options to choose from and so much diversity in scenery. The amazing thing about Olympic National Park is that you can literally visit the mountains, a lake, the rainforest, and the coast in one day! Seriously—here’s an example elopement where we did just that!

I’m not just a photographer. I’m your sounding board for dreaming up your perfect day, I’m your logistics planner, windblown hair fixer, tie adjuster, and so much more.

I’m an adventurer through and through and I’m here to help guide you through the process of planning and executing whatever day you and your partner dream up. From the moment you book me as your photographer I am there for you to help create an experience that you will remember and cherish.

My goal and hope is that by the time your wedding day comes along we already feel like close friends. I want to get texts of the wedding attire you picked out. I want to know what you love about your partner and how you met. I’m here for it all.

Best Places to Elope In Olympic National Park

The Mountains

There are so many incredible areas to elope in the mountains of Olympic National Park! Whether you’re wanting an accessible area like Hurricane Ridge or a backpacking elopement deep in wilderness you can’t go wrong with the 360 expansive views of the mountains in Olympic National Park.

The Mossy Rainforests

Olympic National Park has some of the most magical rainforest scenes. Moss hangs from trees, old growth trees make for the most incredible and peaceful ceremony locations, it’s definitely worth exploring through these mossy forests on your elopement day. Places like the Hoh Rainforest, Bogachiel and the forests near Lake Quinalt and Lake Crescent offer incredible rainforest scenery.

Olympic National Park Lakes

Olympic National Park has several gorgeous lakes to elope by! Lake Crescent and Quinalt Lake are the most popular and for good reason! Lake Crescent is the perfect spot to have a lakeside ceremony, especially if you’re wanting to have guests join you. There’s several areas to explore, two docks on the lake, many mossy old growth trails, canoes to rent if you want to get out on the lake itself, and a lodge to go warm up in if it’s a classic PNW moody day!

The Olympic Coast

The Olympic Coastline is out of this world! There are accessible and classic beaches like Ruby Beach as well as amazing spots you can hike into and even camp at! Rugged rock formations, tide pools, beach fires, moody weather, there’s no better way to end an adventure elopement day.

One of the coolest parts about eloping in Olympic National Park is the fact that you can visit all 4 of these areas in one day! My sunrise to sunset package is perfect for this. The best general timeline to visit all three is to start in the mountains at sunrise, take a break in the day to rest, meet back up in the afternoon at Lake Crescent for a forest hike and then continue on to your favorite beach locations! Here’s an example elopement with this exact itinerary!

Where to stay for your Olympic National Park Elopement

The Olympic Peninsula has several different areas that you may want to check out. If you’re wanting to visit the north end of the Peninsula (Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent) then the biggest town/city with the most amenities is Port Angeles. It’s has cute shops to check out and a lot of great airbnbs to choose from. Sequim (pronounced “Squim”) is a great option as well and often has bigger places to host groups. There’s a even this cool tree house location near the water! If you’d like to be a bit more isolated from the main city you could stay on Lake Sutherland, which offers airbnbs with docks and is super close to Lake Crescent. If you’re wanting to be at the coast and visit Ruby Beach or a rainforest than go check out Lake Quinalt! Lake Quinalt Lodge is a beautiful rustic resort hotel built in 1926. It overlooks the shore of the lake and even offers great hiking trails right from the lodge. There’s also airbnbs in the area as well. There’s so many options for places to stay, but just keep in mind where you’re wanting to go as there aren’t any main roads that go through the peninsula—they go around it, which means long days in the car. Also keep in mind that most of these towns are small and have limited options for restaurants and stores etc.
