Olympic National Park Adventure Elopement

This Olympic National Park adventure elopement was an absolute dream to be a part of. During the planning process, Trevor and Shaylee knew they wanted to elope in a place that had layers of mountains, bodies of fresh water, and a first dance on the beach at sunset. Going to Olympic National Park became a no-brainer! They opted for the sunrise and sunset package, which meant they were able to see the park at the most beautiful parts of the day. We started at sunrise in the mountains, where they changed separately in the dark and then shared a sweet first look during blue hour. Then we headed up to the viewpoint for their sunrise ceremony. Just as they finished up their ceremony, the sun came up and they were able to enjoy their first moments as husband and wife while watching it rise! It was pure magic! After some private moments, we explored around and took portraits in the mountains. There was a beautiful golden light above a cloud inversion over the Puget Sound, so it was quite dramatic and so beautiful! When we got back to the parking lot they were congratulated by some guys, who ended up being their witnesses to sign their marriage license. Then we headed back down the mountain and parted ways to rest for the rest of the morning after that early wake-up call!

We met back up in afternoon at Lake Crescent to explore some of old growth forest trails there as well as have a mini picnic! Trevor brought out his Grandfather’s fly rod and threw in a few casts to honor and remember him. Once they finished up their picnic we packed up our stuff and made our way to the coast! We hiked into one of my favorite WA coast beaches and Trevor and Shaylee explored the shoreline. We even saw a sea otter sleeping in the ocean! Then we pulled out the frisbee’s and played frisbee on the beach. It was so fun! We didn’t have a very dramatic sunset, but as the light started to fade T & S played their first dance song on a portable speaker and shared a first dance together on the beach. It was so sweet and beautiful to witness.

It’s always so special when we get to capture couples who deeply love the outdoors as much as we do. We saw Trevor and Shaylee soak up every moment of their day. From watching the sunrise right as they finished exchanging vows, to pointing out unique plants and admiring ONP’s incredible moss, to pulling out the binoculars to see a sea otter in the ocean… it was a day filled with love and gratitude for Mother Nature and each other. That’s what adventure elopements are all about. 🖤

We’re honored to have been a part of it—congrats T & S!

Meet your Olympic National Park Adventure Elopement Photographer and Videographer

Hi! We’re Garrett and Sierra, a husband and wife video and photo team based out of our self-converted campervan. We help couples plan the adventure wedding of their dreams throughout OR, WA, and UT. One of of our favorite places to work and explore in our personal time is Olympic National Park. The park has so much to offer and the thing that keep us coming back is the fact that it has some of the biggest trees in the world! If you want to see beautiful mossy forests—this if your park. We’ve spent countless hours exploring this park, finding our favorite old-growth forest trails, so if you’re wanting to find trails off the beaten path —we’ve got you! One of the main things that draws most of our couples to the Olympic is the incredible diversity in scenery—mountains, forests, lakes, waterfalls, hot springs, beaches—it’s just incredible. You truly can’t go wrong eloping in this park!
