Sunrise and Sunset North Cascades Elopement

First I wanted to share some of the words this sweet couple said about their sunrise and sunset elopement in the North Cascades and Mt. Baker Area:

“The day of could not have been any crazier and perfect. The weather was toying with us covering the mountain completely with clouds and fog but Sierra made the best of it ensuring that we were ok, safe, and most importantly having a good time celebrating our marriage. Cause obviously we can't control the weather but we can make the best of the situation. And like a Disney movie everything cleared up, clouds rolled over the mountains like someone pouring milk into a latte, sun peaking up like in the Lion King. Sierra got to work taking advantage of the opportunity and those photos came out PHENOMENAL!!! She seized the moment and we got nothing but astonishing photos. When we saw the sneak peaks I felt like a cross between Ansel Adams, GQ cover shoot, and national geographic. Like goosebumps for real how awesome the photos turned out.

Her work speaks for itself, to follow that up she takes pride in her work and it definitely shows. She's just good people. Kind and warm hearted. The amount of care she puts forth to ensure that we had a good time and enjoyed ourselves really meant a lot. It wasn't just the photos but the overall experience of our adventure, elopement, travel, and newness of it all. It showed that her top priority was us. She gives back to nature and leaves no trace behind. I honestly want to elope again or sway friends and family to elope so I can just join along because it was such a fun and memorable moment, most definitely a core memory.”

🥹 From a ever changing dramatic moody sunrise, fog whiteouts most of the morning, morning coffee and tea, a 4x4 drive in the afternoon, a steep hike up to a fire lookout and changing in said lookout, a completely private mountain top ceremony, a sudden mountain goat appearance, cake and macaroons, sunset exploring and portraits, and a late night hike back to the truck… it was quite the incredible day and I had so much fun adventuring with these two!

Hi! I’m Sierra! I’m an elopement and adventure wedding photographer based out of my self-converted camper van! I help down to earth couples plan and photograph epic elopements all throughout Washington, Oregon, and Utah. I absolutely love exploring all that the Mt. Baker and North Cascades area has to offer—so much so that my husband and I too eloped in this area!

I’m not just a photographer. I’m your sounding board for dreaming up your perfect day, I’m your logistics planner, windblown hair fixer, tie adjuster, and so much more.
