Sunrise Hurricane Ridge Elopement

Kelley and Matt woke up at the crack of dawn for this sunrise styled elopement at Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park. To say it was gorgeous would be an understatement. Everything was so still, quiet, and beautiful. Kelley put on leggings under her dress and they both wore socks with their chacos!

K & M snuggled in the soft blue hour light while they watched the alpenglow on the distant mountains. The moon was out, which only added to the morning magic! Once they were ready the exchanged personal love letters and vows as sun got closer and closer to rising over the mountains. We then continued on to other parts of the park for elopement portraits and exploring!

Hurricane Ridge is an incredible place for both sunrise and sunset elopements. There’s a lot of space to spread out, trails to explore, and 360 views in many areas. There’s also a ton of wildlife in Olympic National Park! It’s not uncommon to see deer within 30 ft of you, bunnies, and even bears! One time I saw 3 bears in one day (all from a safe distance away, thankfully!). I absolutely love how accessible it is as well. The road up to Hurricane Ridge is absolutely gorgeous itself and there’s many locations that area ADA accessible. This styled elopement was a perfect example. In some of the images you can tell this was on a dirt road close to the main parking lot. There wasn’t a sole around and it was so incredibly accessible.

Hey, I’m Sierra. I’m an elopement photographer, wife, engineer, animal lover, outdoor enthusiast, and occasional camper-van converter based in Seattle, WA.

I’m not just a photographer. I’m your sounding board for dreaming up your perfect day, I’m your logistics planner, windblown hair fixer, tie adjuster, and so much more.

I’m an adventurer through and through and I’m here to help guide you through the process of planning and executing whatever day you and your partner dream up. From the moment you book me as your photographer I am there for you to help create an experience that you will remember and cherish.

My goal and hope is that by the time your wedding day comes along we already feel like close friends. I want to get texts of the wedding attire you picked out. I want to know what you love about your partner and how you met. I’m here for it all.
