Moab Adventure Elopement

Moab Adventure Elopement

It took a lot for Mariah and Michael’s elopement to come together! First off, we planned their whole elopement in less than a month! They reached out hoping for a last minute elopement in Moab and they were unsure of where they’d want to go and who would be able to make it. We quickly got to planning, picked out locations, invited their families, booked flights from Florida, and made a solid plan! Then we had an abnormally cold fall and early winter in Moab, with snow, rain, and freezing temps the week of their date. Not only that, but Florida had a hurricane while everyone was trying to fly out to Moab. Then Michael’s car rental fell through the day before we were supposed to have a sunrise start, so we had to put off the sunrise for a different day. And to top all that off, I got COVID-19 the week of. We figured out that their date would be the 6th day since I first had symptoms, so we hoped I would feel up to shooting it and went forward with the plan (I got some backup options in place just in case I couldn’t). I ended up recovering enough to shoot their elopement, so I masked up and it all worked out!

Mariah and Michael ended up having a two day adventure elopement in Moab, Utah. They had their immediate families join them for their cliff-side ceremony at Dead Horse State Park just 45 minutes away from Moab. Michael’s dad officiated their ceremony and it was one of the most calm and peaceful ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed! Mariah and Michael braved the cold for their portraits as this November day was a chilly one! The high temperature for the day was 44 degrees and it definitely dropped below that once the sun went down. For Day 2 we met up in Arches National Park for sunset! M & M exchanged private vows and explore several arches in the park. It was the perfect end to a beautiful week of celebrating their love.

Moab Adventure Elopement - Day 2

Moab Adventure Elopement Photographer

Hi! I’m Sierra! I’m an elopement photographer based out of my campervan with my videographer husband, Garrett, and our pup! In the summer we call the PNW home and in the spring and fall we make our way to Moab and other parts of the southwest.

I’m not just a photographer. I help my couples plan their elopement from the ground up. I’m your sounding board for dreaming up your perfect day, I’m your logistics planner, windblown hair fixer, tie adjuster, and so much more.

I’m here to help guide you through the process of planning and executing whatever day you and your partner dream up. From the moment you book me as your photographer I am there for you to help create an experience that you will remember and cherish.

My goal and hope is that by the time your wedding day comes along we already feel like close friends. I want to get texts of the wedding attire you picked out. I want to know what you love about your partner and how you met. I’m here for it all.
