Antelope Island Adventure Session | Utah Elopement Photographer

Antelope Island Utah Engagement Photographer

I had so much fun with Makayla and Brandon during this Antelope Island adventure session in Utah! These two are already married, but it didn’t stop them from getting some dreamy couples photos! Their lighthearted and joyful love was so evident in this session. It’s always so fun to work with couples who aren’t afraid to love on each other and really get lost in the moment of being together and celebrating their love.

I’ve had a lot of couples ask me about concerns with big height differences in photos. This antelope island adventure session is the perfect inspiration for couples who have one person that is significantly taller than the other! It’s totally possible to get fun and cute photos despite a big height difference!

Antelope Island near Salt Lake City, Utah is an incredible location for engagement sessions and of course elopements! There’s so many beautiful spots around the island that you can’t really go wrong choosing this location! If you go on a weekday there are so few people that you’re bound to have privacy as well! One of the coolest parts about this area is the wildlife! We saw antelope and bison during our session and it was just incredible! At one point some bison came running through the field we were in. It was actually kind of terrifying, but it’s all part of the adventure right?! I’m just thankful we were able to keep a safe distance from them!

What should you wear for your engagement or adventure session?

This session was also a great example of how good it can look to coordinate your outfits! The neutral tones of both Makayla and Brandon’s outfits really pulled the look together and made everything really dreamy! Don’t be afraid to send some outfit ideas and questions to your photographer if you’re unsure of whether your outfits will look good together. In general staying away from distracting patters and ticking to neutral colors is a good rule of thumb! Also remember that you want to be reasonably comfortable in the clothing you’re wearing. A lot of the photos and posing in this session required the M and B to move freely! And of course choose something you’re confident in!
